Internationally recognized for his contributions to the understanding of Parkinson’s disease, his research focuses on the molecular and circuit mechanisms underlying both motor and non-motor symptoms of the disease, as well as complications associated with dopamine replacement therapies.
He is a member of Academia Europaea and serves in several international scientific committees, including the International Union of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology (IUPHAR) Subcommittee on Dopamine Receptors.

Internationally recognized for his contributions to chemical biology and chemical proteomics, his research focuses on the development of chemical approaches to understand and manipulate biological systems, particularly processes relevant to human disease and drug discovery. His work spans chemical proteomics, medicinal chemistry, and the chemical synthesis and modification of proteins and peptides.
He is a Fellow of both the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Royal Society of Biology, and has received numerous prestigious awards for his research and translational contributions. He is also the academic founder of Myricx Bio and serves on several international scientific advisory and editorial boards.
